In 2010, BCS invested in Namibia, opening a new chapter in natural marble. For over a decade, BCS has acquired more than 30 quarries in Namibia and established two modern processing bases in Walvis Bay and Karibib. 

As the only company in Namibia providing stone value-adding services, BCS transforms raw resources into high-quality products, pioneering the local stone industry.

From Quarrying to Processing – A Full Value-Added Chain

In Namibia, BCS owns BCS owns quarries of stones including Namib Bianco and Bianco Palomino. Also, we cover the entire production chain from blocks, slabs, prefab, mosaic, and tiles to home products. Beyond creating industrial value for Namibia, BCS generates substantial local employment through localized production, with a strong focus on hiring local women. In Karibib, we are proudly the largest employer of women in the region.

Advanced and Environmental-Friendly Quarrying Technology

At the Namib Bianco quarry, BCS modern diamond wire saws and drilling techniques, replacing traditional blasting methods. This ensures the purity and integrity of the marble and minimizes environmental impact. The extraction process begins with horizontal and vertical cuts, followed by precise sectioning and careful block separation, maintaining the natural beauty of the marble.
